Management Accountant - FTC

Job Title: Management Accountant (Fully Qualified)

Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (9–12 Months)

Location: Basingstoke / Hybrid

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Start Date: May / ASAP

We’re working with a rapidly expanding on-line retailer with revenues exceeding £1 billion and an exciting roadmap ahead. With growth at the core of their strategy, the finance team is scaling to meet the evolving demands of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified Management Accountant to join on a 9–12 month fixed-term basis and make a real impact.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for delivering insightful financial reporting and business partnering to drive performance and accountability. You’ll bring a keen eye for detail, a commercial mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Produce variance analysis with commentary against budgets and forecasts
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and ensure integrity of financial data
• General ledger & balance sheet reconciliation's
• Track and analyse key financial KPIs and performance metrics

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Proven experience in a management accounting or financial reporting role
• Strong analytical and Excel skills; knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) advantageous
• Experience of improving financial and operational processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to communicate clearly and confidently with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and open to change
