Job Description - Manufacturing Engineer - Zero Defects

We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer on a 6-month contract to lead zero defect projects to identify and implement improvement opportunities.

6-month contract
Lucrative hourly rate on offer inside IR35
Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 12pm

Manufacturing Engineer - Zero Defects
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on zero defect projects across business units
  • Assigning resource to projects, ensuring teams have the required skills and support to deliver projects.
  • Work with cross functional teams to gain data and look at internal processes in areas that aren’t performing and meeting customers’ expectations.
  • Soliciting ideas from workforce, analysis of quality data, SMA reviews, customer complaints, audit findings, PFMEA, process walks, benefit / effort analysis, Standards gaps.

Manufacturing Engineer - Zero Defects
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience leading zero defects/right first-time projects
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and 8D problem-solving
  • Significant experience with 8D, 5ys and value stream mapping
  • Extensive experience working within a high spec industrial environment
