MASH Team Leader Qualified Social Worker

We're looking for a Locum MASH Team Leader to join a busy Multi-Agency Safeguarding and Support Hub where your decision-making, leadership, and ability to collaborate with partner agencies will make a real impact.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team of social workers and referral officers in managing safeguarding contacts and referrals
• Apply sound threshold decision-making to determine the most appropriate next steps
• Liaise daily with partner agencies to gather and share relevant information for risk assessments
• Chair triage discussions and provide management oversight on decisions made
• Ensure timely responses and adherence to statutory timescales
• Support staff development, supervision, and performance monitoring
• Escalate complex cases appropriately while maintaining a child-centred approach

To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:

• BSc Social Work or equivalent
• SWE registered
• Proven experience in a similar team leader/senior practitioner within a MASH or safeguarding context
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding thresholds and multi-agency working
  Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment
