The Role

This Maths Academic Coach role is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who wants to make a direct impact on pupil progress while gaining relevant experience before training to teach. The successful candidate will support pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4, focusing on numeracy, exam technique, and confidence-building.

You will work closely with the Maths department, delivering small group sessions, one-to-one support, and in-class assistance. The aim is to boost understanding and help students achieve their potential in Maths.

The Candidate

The school is seeking a graduate with a degree in Mathematics or a related subject such as Physics, Engineering or Economics. A strong academic record and a genuine interest in education are essential.

You should be patient, proactive and confident in your ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly. Previous experience working with young people—whether through tutoring, mentoring or volunteering—is highly desirable.
