A fantastic Secondary School in the Borough of Barking &v Dagenham are on the hunt for a Maths Academic Mentor for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time, long-term post.

You will be working across the Maths Department as a Maths Academic Mentor, supporting KS3-5 lessons, while having a focus on attainment & the quality of learning. This is the perfect opportunity if you're an aspiring Maths or Science Teacher looking to gain experience before enrolling on teacher training.

You will have the opportunity to enrol on a Salaried Schools Direct opportunity via the Secondary School starting in September 2026.

Maths Academic Mentor Job Description

• Maths Graduates
• Maths Tutors (Subject dependent)
• Working across KS3-5 with a focus on raising attainment
• Carrying out GCSE & A Level interventions
• Enrolling on the Math Graduate (Schools Direct)
• September 2025 start - Full-Time & Long-term
• £105- £110 per day - Term time only
• Located in the Borough of Barking &v Dagenham

Person Specification

• Must have a desirable degree in the above subjects from a reputable University
• Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
• Must be confident within your ability and knowledge of both the GCSE & A Level curriculum
• You must be able to engage and motivate the students
• Commitment and ambition to succeed are key throughout!
