Tradewind Recruitment is working with a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Camden that is seeking a motivated and academically strong Science or Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time, long-term position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, perfect for aspiring teachers or graduates interested in education, tutoring, or educational psychology.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students in Science and/or Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, both in class and in small-group interventions.

• Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation, delivery, and differentiation.

• Provide targeted support for students with additional learning needs (SEN, EAL, or low prior attainment).

• Help maintain a focused and supportive learning environment in the classroom.

• Build strong relationships with students, acting as a positive role model and academic mentor.

• Gain insight into the teaching profession, with opportunities to observe and learn from experienced educators.

• A recent graduate with a degree in Science, Maths, or a closely related subject.

• A strong academic background and passion for education.

• A confident communicator who can engage and motivate students.

• A patient, proactive, and adaptable individual with a strong work ethic.

• An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education.

• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

• A high-achieving and supportive secondary school in Camden with a strong focus on academic excellence.

• Full-time, long-term role with working hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

• Competitive daily rate, based on experience and graduate qualifications.

• Valuable experience for teacher training applications (e.g. PGCE, Schools Direct, Teach First).
