Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Rate: £20 - £21 per hour

We are currently seeking a Site Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management team at a high-profile site in Didcot.

Role Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of mechanical systems and plant equipment across the site. You will ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely, with minimal disruption to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical building services including:
• Air Handling Units (AHUs)
• Heating and Cooling Systems
• Pumps, Valves, and Pipework
• Pressure Systems
• Daily checks and routine servicing of plant equipment
• Fault finding and resolution
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures
• Liaising with other engineering staff and management to coordinate tasks effectively

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with AHUs, HVAC systems, pressure systems, and general mechanical plant
• Knowledge of heating and chilled water systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Good communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a facilities management or building services environment
• Additional certification in pressure systems or F-Gas (advantageous but not essential)
