Role: Medical Device Clinical Safety Specialist
Location: Hybrid (Welwyn-based) or remote for the right candidate
Hours: Full-time
Pay: £45 per hour (UMB/LTD) or £33.58 per hour (PAYE, basic rate excluding holiday pay)
12 Month Contract (Outside of IR35)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Medical Device Clinical Safety Specialist to join one of our longstanding clients, a leading organisation in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely for the right individual.

The Requirements:

• Strong background in medical device (MD) safety, including risk assessment and clinical safety support
• In-depth understanding of safety requirements and regulations around MD clinical investigations
• Familiarity with ISO standards relevant to MDs, such as ISO 14155
• Experience with drug/MD combination products or additional knowledge in drug safety considered advantageous
• Scientific or healthcare background with relevant clinical safety experience in MDs, diagnostics, or combination products

The Role:

• Serve as a key member of the MD Clinical Safety Team, contributing expertise to internal stakeholders and safety teams
• Provide guidance on MD clinical safety matters, including training, process development, and documentation updates
• Support development and improvement of safety processes, SOPs, and compliance measures
• Act as a subject matter expert on MD safety regulations and procedures, including audit support and due diligence
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and contribute to various safety-related working groups
• Stay informed on industry developments and ensure alignment with safety best practices and procedural standards
