My client is seeking a Medical Secretary to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a GP surgery environment, capable of managing multiple administrative tasks efficiently. The Medical Secretary will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare services by handling referrals, patient queries, and other clerical duties.

• Typing and managing referral letters efficiently.
• Booking and managing e-referrals, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Overseeing e-referral lists and ensuring they are handled promptly.
• Chasing up referrals and handling queries related to them.
• Dealing with various administrative tasks and responding to patient inquiries.
• Providing comprehensive support to patients, enhancing their experience and satisfaction.

• Proven experience as a Medical Secretary, preferably within a GP surgery setting.
• Proficient in managing e-referrals and handling referral letters.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Competence in using healthcare management software and Microsoft Office tools.
