Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Mental Health Service Manager to join their team based in London.
   
JOB DETAILS
PAY RATE: £45 per hour  
WORK TYPE: Temporary
WORK PATTERN: Full Time (3 days on site) 
LOCATION: London 
   
JOB SUMMARY
The Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and leadership of the ASC Social Work Mental Health Teams in the Mental Health Service. The postholder is responsible for the line management of staff who work in these teams and the performance management of the teams in respect of quality , finance , human resources management and governance
  
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• To lead on specific areas of the Mental Health Service, including in working with health partners e.g., Mental Health / Learning Disability Team , Continuing Health Care Teams, Children , Schools and Families and SEND Services , and voluntary partners
• To lead and manage the implementation of a strength-based model in the teams to develop a service that improves the availability and quality of advice and information for people, offers timely and responsive assessments and delivers timely discharge planning to support Customers and carers to shape their own lives and the services they receive.
• To undertake regular skill mix review and ensure the workforce structure is designed to meet service demands

  
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Educated to degree level in a health or social care discipline
• Previous successful experience at a senior management level
• Strong successful leadership, with the ability to lead, manage, mentor, and motivate staff.
