About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL Teacher to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school starting September 2025. You'll be teaching French and Spanish across KS3 and KS4, in a full-time role, delivering high-quality lessons with a focus on linguistic accuracy and cultural richness. You will join a committed Modern Languages department within a supportive and progressive school environment where creativity, consistency, and passion for language education are highly valued.

Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Linguistic competence in speaking, reading, writing, and listening
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Strong linguistic and grammatical knowledge
  • Bilingual (French and Spanish) fluency
  • Differentiated lesson planning

  • Formative and summative assessment techniques

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver MFL lessons (French & Spanish) in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, record, and report on student's progress
  • Maintain high expectations of student's behaviour and work ethic
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents
  • Organise and supervise language-based enrichment activities
  • Liaise with pastoral staff and SLT regarding student progress and well being
  • Engage in department meetings and collaborative planning
  • Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum
