• Pay Rate: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour (PAYE)

Bury Council are looking for a Multi-Skilled Flagger with experience in social housing to join our team for a 6-month period. This role involves working in responsive repairs, focusing on all aspects of flagging, drainage, and ground works across council properties.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Undertake all flagging, drainage, and groundwork repairs as well as relevant multi-skilling duties to buildings managed or worked on by Bury Council.
• Perform excavation works, assessing the structural integrity before undertaking any work.
• Handle fencing renewals, replacements, and removals as necessary.
• Operate and maintain all issued plant and equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines.
• Use IT systems (PDA’s) effectively to update documentation in real time.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments of tenant-reported repairs and communicate effectively with planners to facilitate necessary actions.
• Ensure that vehicles provided are used responsibly, kept secure and clean, and used only for work purposes unless authorised otherwise.
• Adhere to Bury Council’s Health and Safety Policies, performing risk assessments and following safe working practices.
• Be responsible for the maintenance and security of stock on the vehicle and ensure accurate recording of materials used.
• Provide advice and assist with the training of colleagues as needed.
• Participate in the Out of Hours Emergency Repairs service if required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Flagger or in a similar role within social housing.
• Skilled in flagging, drainage, and general ground works.
• Ability to operate various IT systems and maintain accurate records.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and customer care.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work within a team.
• Willingness to participate in out-of-hours service as needed.
• Full UK Driving Licence
