• Pay Rate: £23.00 - £25.00 per hour (PAYE)

Bury Council are looking for a Multi-Skilled Joiner with experience in social housing to join our team for a 6-month period. This role involves working in responsive repairs, focusing on joinery across council properties.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Undertake all joinery and relevant multi-skilled works to buildings managed or worked on by Bury Council.
• Perform multi-skilled repairs in line with the multiskilling agreement and relevant qualifications.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments of all locking systems, minimizing costs and damage when gaining entry.
• Operate and maintain plant and equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines.
• Use IT systems (PDA’s) effectively to update documentation in real time.
• Ensure that vehicles provided are used responsibly, kept secure and clean, and used only for work purposes unless authorised otherwise.
• Adhere to Bury Council’s Health and Safety Policies, performing risk assessments and following safe working practices.
• Be responsible for the maintenance and security of stock on the vehicle and ensure accurate recording of materials used.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Joiner, particularly within social housing.
• Skills in joinery, minor plumbing, and tiling.
• Ability to operate various IT systems and maintain accurate records.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and customer care.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work within a team.
• Valid Full UK Driving Licence
