Teacher of Music and Drama
  • Annual Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 MPS/UPR according to experience

A successful and oversubscribed school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Teacher of Music and Drama to join their experienced team. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Music and potentially Drama across Key Stages 3 to 5, depending on experience.
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods and resources to inspire and motivate students.
  • Assess, monitor, and record the progress of students, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the department to review and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in and contribute to a range of extracurricular activities, events, and trips that enrich the students' learning experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in teaching Music at least to Key Stage 3; experience in Drama is advantageous.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A passion for Music and Drama and a commitment to developing this enthusiasm in students.
  • Strong classroom management skills with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the department's success.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to grow within a supportive environment.
