Neighbourhood Officer

We are seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Officer in Liverpool to support our social housing client on a temporary contract for a minimum of 3 months, paying up to £22.50 per hour with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering a range of housing and tenancy management services across your patch, acting as a key contact for customers within the community
• Undertake a range of visits including viewings, tenancy audits, exchange inspections, tenancy reviews, new starter visits and attending evictions
• Dealing with abandonments, relationship breakdowns, assignments, unauthorised occupations including subletting, tenancy fraud and failures to allow access
• Manage your own caseload of low to medium level ASB, hate crime, safeguarding and other tenancy breaches including carrying out investigations, gathering evidence and witness statements
• Identifying customers at risk of tenancy failure, undertaking assessments of needs and implementing positive interventions or signposting to external agencies to support the sustainment of tenancies
• Responding to general enquiries or complaints from customers and local MPs
• Discharging all legal, regulatory and insurance duties within your portfolio

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience of managing stock, delivering housing and tenancy management services including managing nuisance & ASB
• Good knowledge of housing legislation and best practice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage professional relationships with tenants including challenging non-compliance
• Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
