Network Architect (DV CLEARED)

We are seeking a Network Architect to join a multi-skilled agile team, including security, service, and management, where teamwork is paramount. This role involves providing complex technical support activities as part of project deployment, including installation, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance.

Contract Rate: £600 per day inside IR35
Location: Basingstoke
Job Type: Contractor (On-site)
Contract Duration: 6 months (potential extension)
Clearance Required: DV Clearance mandatory

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide technical implementation of medium to large infrastructures within project timelines, identifying risks and working within a technical framework to meet customer requirements.
• Implement technical best practices independently within a team, leveraging in-depth product knowledge.
• Manage systems within SLA parameters, proposing and implementing changes to meet service level requirements.
• Take ownership of diagnosing and resolving problems, engaging with third parties to resolve in-depth product issues when necessary.
• Stay updated with new products, tools, and techniques, promoting their use within the business to enhance technical capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Juniper or Cisco network equipment.
• Proven ability to independently implement LAN networks and infrastructure patching following design specifications and resolve issues.
• Familiarity with site LAN Design and implementation.
• Experience with ECR process, creation of as-fitted packs, and sign-off, working with Customer Authorities.
• Previous experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Ability to provide comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components ensuring compatibility with relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and manage costs within own scope of responsibility.
• Capability to provide workarounds or fixes in a timely manner.
