Network Engineer

Our prestigious Global Investment Bank client is seeking an experienced Fortinet SD-WAN Network Engineer to join its infrastructure team as they transform their global WAN environment. This pivotal role involves the successful deployment and integration of our new Fortinet-based SD-WAN solution, working alongside global teams, local IT support, and third-party providers.

• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN solutions.
• Previous experience deploying SD-WAN over traditional WAN technologies (e.g., MPLS, leased lines).
• Solid understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), IP addressing, and network segmentation.
• Experience in enterprise environments with strict security and change control processes.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Experience with Ipanema or other legacy WAN optimisation technologies.
• Familiarity with global networks in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare).
• Exposure to network monitoring and management tools (e.g., FortiManager, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NSE4+, CCNP, JNCIS).
• Experience with ITIL processes and best practices in a banking environment.

• Strong project management, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
• Disciplined work approach with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

• Ability to travel within the EU/UK/Schengen area at short notice without significant visa restrictions.
