Network Operations Design Architect/Engineer

Our client is looking for a Network Operations Design Architect/Engineer to take a leading role in shaping and delivering high-quality network services across a complex enterprise environment. This is a strategic yet hands-on role that blends network architecture, operational oversight, and team leadership.

Role: Network Operations Design Architect/Engineer
Experience: 10+ years
Location: London
Working Days: Once a month in the office
Duration: Contract - 6 months
Pay: Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and continuously improve WAN, WiFi, and LAN services to meet evolving business needs
• Ensure service availability, performance, and scalability while managing risk and cost
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support for junior team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery
• Drive the technical roadmap and support project delivery with architectural input
• Manage third-party service providers and support transition of new services into operation
• Contribute to process improvement, documentation, and service governance

What We're Looking For:

• Strong experience in network architecture and operational leadership
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholder
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to solving technical challenges
• Broad knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and best practices
• Experience with ITIL processes and financial management of IT services
