Network Support Engineer | Birmingham (minimum 2 days on site) | 9-12 month contract | £350-£450 p/day Inside IR35

Our client is looking for a Network Support Engineer for a key client engagement. This role combines hands on technical support with project coordination responsibilities and supporting the delivery of essential infrastructure initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide second-line network support, troubleshooting incidents, changes, and service requests across LAN/WAN infrastructure
• Collaborate with project managers to plan, coordinate, and deliver infrastructure projects (e.g., LAN refreshes, UPS replacements, smart PDU deployments)
• Guide on-site engineers remotely through technical implementation tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
• Perform configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, PDUs, and out-of-band (OOB) devices as needed

Requirements:

• Strong technical background in networking with hands-on experience in LAN/WAN support.
• Experience coordinating or supporting infrastructure deployments.
• Proactive approach to issue resolution and project delivery.
