Role Purpose


As an EFL Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering dynamic, high-quality English language instruction to diverse learner groups using a range of innovative teaching methods and platforms. You’ll be part of a supportive professional community, actively engaging in our Teacher Support Programme, which includes mentoring from Delta-qualified experts and participation in regular INSETT sessions to continuously enhance your teaching practice.


Main Accountabilities:


You will deliver up to 20 hours of high-quality English language teaching per week in your first year, increasing to 25 hours after graduating from the Teacher Support Programme (TSP). Your lessons will be tailored to meet the needs of diverse learner groups, with regular feedback and progress monitoring to support learner autonomy. You’ll also contribute to course development and complete teaching-related administrative tasks to the required standards.


As part of the TSP, you’ll engage in structured professional development including mentoring by Delta-qualified trainers, regular INSETT sessions, observations, and peer reviews. Attendance at training days and teacher meetings is expected, ensuring you’re fully supported in your growth and integration into the teaching team.


Beyond teaching, you’ll help foster positive relationships by promoting contemporary UK culture and supporting local marketing efforts. You’ll uphold British Council standards in safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, anti-bribery, information management, and health and safety. Egypt offers excellent opportunities for career progression, including sponsored access to CELTA, DELTA, TYLEC, and management training, with pathways into teacher training and coordination roles for experienced educators.


 


Qualifications & Experience


Essentials:



  • Cambridge CELTA or Trinity cert TESOL or equivalent as recognised by British Council

  • Undergraduate degree

  • High proficiency in English i.e. full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2)


Desirables:



  • EAP, ESP Courses (400+)hours


Important Information 
•    Location: Egypt - Cairo


•    Job type: Full time
•    Contract type: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract (FTC)

•    Gross monthly salary: 23,250  EGP
