NewSQL DB Engineer Yugabyte/Python

NewSQL DB Engineer
Glasgow (3 days/week onsite)
Up to £60/hour PAYE
12-month contract

We're looking for a hands-on engineer to help one of the world's leading banks roll out a next-gen NewSQL database platform (Yugabyte).

You'll be part of a globally distributed team, working on:

• Supporting high-volume, high-resilience transactional systems

• Running benchmarks and POCs to test performance

• Helping design and build the future DBaaS infrastructure

• Collaborating with infra and security teams to ensure a compliant, secure setup

• Supporting rollout and operations on internal cloud

You'll need:

• Enterprise experience with Yugabyte (If you have exp with CockroachDB, please still apply)
• Strong Python skills
