We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing nursery in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young children in their early years development!

The Role

We are looking for a passionate Nursery Assistant to help provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children in their early years. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the development and well-being of children aged 0-5, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and lessons that support children's development.

- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

- Support children with additional needs, adapting resources and activities to ensure all children are included.

- Assist in the daily care of children, including feeding, toileting, and helping with personal hygiene. ?

- Help maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.

- Encourage positive behaviour and help to manage children's behaviour in a supportive manner.

- Work with the team to assess children’s progress and support their development through play and structured activities.

- Supervise children during break times and other nursery activities.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a nursery or similar early years setting.

- Qualifications: A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

- All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one that is registered to the update service. The cost of a DBS would be put forward to the applicant.
