Job Description - Nursery Nurse - Mitcham

Nursery Nurse
Mitcham
5 months initially
Monday to Friday, working on a shift pattern, the earliest shift starts at 7.30am to 3.30pm the latest shift starts at 10am and finishes at 6pm, 35 hrs/week

Direct work with up to 24 children aged two to four
Planning and delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
Take responsibility for working with groups of children on planned learning experiences
Preparing, setting up, managing, and clearing up materials and equipment, in both indoor and outdoor learning areas
Support children with a variety of Special Education Needs and Disability
Make observations and assessments of children’s play, progress and behaviour
Support children to develop personal care skills including toileting, feeding, and washing
Take small groups of children out of school to develop their interests in their local environment
Foster children’s independence, self reliance confidence and wellbeing
Attend meetings and reviews where necessary

Requirements

Level 3 childcare qualification
Nursery Nurse experience is essential
Experience working with young children in a nursery or preschool setting
DBS registered to the update service
