Occupational Therapist (Band 6) - Private Client Opportunity
Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday preferred, with 3-4 days considered to remain within budget)

Search Recruitment Group is working with a private healthcare client to recruit an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist for a 9-month maternity cover contract at their specialist facility in Wolverhampton.
This role is based on Shaw Ward, a dedicated unit with a 17-bed capacity, and offers the opportunity to work as part of a full MDT team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in PICU and acute environments, with a strong background in supervising Band 5 Occupational Therapists.

About the Role:
As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:
* Providing comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients in a PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit) and acute care setting
* Leading and supervising a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to ensure high standards of care are met
* Collaborating with a full multidisciplinary team, including nurses, psychologists, social workers, and physiotherapists, to provide holistic care
* Managing and supporting patients with complex mental health needs, ensuring their therapeutic goals are met within their recovery journey

About You:
We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist who has:
* Proven experience in PICU and acute mental health settings
* A background in supervising and mentoring Band 5 OTs
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* An ability to work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team
* HCPC registration
