Occupational Therapist - Review Team

Islington Council is currently recruiting a skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join their innovative Review Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to pilot a new way of working by embedding OT expertise directly into the review process. The role focuses on strengths-based, proportionate interventions to promote independence and improve outcomes for residents.

This vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months, with strong potential for extension.

• Conducting OT-led reviews to assess current care needs and identify changes

• Promoting independence through reablement and proportionate equipment provision

• Recommending care package reductions where appropriate

• Collaborating with social workers and health professionals to deliver holistic support

• Ensuring all practice upholds dignity, safeguarding, and person-centred values

• Previous experience as a community-based Occupational Therapist

• Confident in functional assessments and equipment provision

• Strong understanding of strengths-based and proportionate care approaches

• HCPC Registration

• Enhanced DBS (can be arranged by us)

• Right to work in the UK

• Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
