Occupational Therapist social and healthcare qualified

We are currently seeking an experienced and confident Occupational Therapist to join a supportive Adult Social Care team in a Duty OT role. This is a hybrid position with a strong focus on staff wellbeing, a manageable caseload, and free in-house training offered to locum workers. The team is known for its positive culture, with several locums having remained for 3+ years.

Role Overview:

• Office/remote-based duty role

• Screening incoming OT referrals via initial telephone assessments

• Ordering minor equipment following screening where appropriate (e.g. toilet frames, commodes)

• Assessing risk and identifying needs through phone-based contact

• No routine home visits required, though occasional visits may be necessary if short staffed

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience

• Recent experience in adult social services (essential)

• Previous duty OT experience (essential)

• Strong clinical reasoning and confident in managing telephone-based assessments

• Ability to work independently and manage a busy duty rota
