Job Description - Office Assistant/Junior

Our client who provides professional services, is looking for an Office Assistant/Junior to join the team on a 1 year fixed term contract. This role may be ideal for a candidate who is looking for their first office based role, someone fresh from education or for candidates who have worked at a similar level in a previous office role.

You must have a good level of education and has a confident, willing, flexible personality, excellent communication skills and a good level of computer based skills to complete general office duties as asked. You must be able to prioritise duties and work in an environment where no two days are the same. The duties are very varied from making tea for guests, ordering stock, filing, customer service and covering reception duties.

This role is fully office based, with offices that are located near to the train station and local bus links.

Duties will include…

Administration and General office support

  • Purchase general office supplies and stationery
  • Provide administrative support to the wider team
  • Support the office manager with duties to maintain an efficient office
  • Set up in house events and meeting rooms
  • Photocopying, scanning, binding of documents into project files and supporting with storage

Reception

  • Providing cover as required welcoming visitors and acting as first point of contact
  • Manage incoming calls and the general inbox to the business
  • Coordinated meeting rooms and arranging refreshments as required
  • Maintain a clean and tidy area
  • Deal with couriers and deliveries

Working hours

  • 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
  • (1 Hour Lunch)

Salary

  • £26,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
