Operations Analyst - Synthetics Risk Middle Office - Investment Banking

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Synthetics Risk Middle Office Operations Analyst to join a leading global financial services firm within their Synthetics Risk Middle Office team. This role offers the chance to deepen your knowledge of Equity Derivatives while partnering with the business and key stakeholders to deliver best-in-class risk, control, and business enablement services.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with clients, trading desks, brokers, and internal teams to support business growth and manage risk.
• Collaborate with product experts to review trade processes, build technical knowledge, and strengthen risk control.
• Identify ways to improve efficiency, scalability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Take ownership of the full trade lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution of trades, new business, and process improvements.

Skills & Experience Required

• 1-2 years’ experience in Trade Processing, Middle Office, or Operations within an Equities business.
• Good knowledge of Equity Derivative products, as well as Cash Securities and Listed Derivatives
• An understanding of Synthetics (synthetic products, swaps, lifecycle of swaps and settlements)
• Ability to thrive under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership qualities and a self-starter mindset.
