Operations Manager

Sheffield City Council are seeking an Operations Manager to lead the efficient and effective management of operational resources within their Parking Services. This role is crucial for ensuring that the operational delivery is customer-oriented and aligns with both the Service and wider Council Strategy.

• Develop and implement key priorities for the City Parking Strategy, providing expert advice and promoting continuous improvement.
• Manage commercial and operational performance, empowering teams, and aligning plans with Council goals.
• Oversee programme delivery, maintain high service quality, and explore investment opportunities that support Council objectives.
• Coordinate parking-related strategies and policies to ensure the delivery of essential services, meet customer needs, and stay updated with legislative changes and trends for innovation.
• Strategically manage resources including fleet, service capacity, team and equipment, finances, and personnel.

• Proven experience in operations management, preferably within a public sector or similar environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower and motivate teams.
• Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
• Ideally, expertise in one of the operational areas (Parking & ANPR enforcement, Performance & Quality assurance, Maintenance and Cash collection) with good operational knowledge of other areas of Parking Operations.
