Job Title: Packing Operative

Location: Margate

Pay rate: £12.21 per hour

Contract: Temporary to permanent

Hours: 8am-5:30pm Monday - Thursday, finishing at 12:30pm on Friday

Our client, who are a manufacturer in Margate, who have brand new and modern premises, is seeking an individual to work in the packing area to ensure all orders and picked and packed correctly.

Could this be your next career move? Here is what your new role will involve…

• Following job sheets to pick and pack customer orders.
• Wrapping, strapping and palletising orders carefully to minimise damage.
• Picking and packing 2-3 large orders and 15-20 smaller orders per day.
• Maintaining service level agreements with customers and ensuring orders are packed in a timely manner.
• Ensuring you comply with all regulatory requirements such as dangerous goods.
• Having a hands-on approach to meet customer demands.
• Focusing on standard working practices and driving efficiency improvements.
• Lean thinking and adoption of 5s, 7 wastes and other relevant tools.
• Setting targets for new products based on best practices.
• Ensuring each package meets customer requests.
• Creating, maintaining, and improving work instructions to ensure best practices are maintained.
