Job Description - Painter

  • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
  • Location: Sheffield

Join a local repairs and maintenance service, focusing on damp and mould/disrepair work streams. We are seeking a skilled Painter to carry out decoration and damp & mould treatments within our customers' homes. This role is ideal for someone who is meticulous and passionate about providing high-quality workmanship in a community-focused environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, or other means as necessary.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to property interiors using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Carry out treatments for damp and mould issues, ensuring long-term solutions are provided.
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure all aspects of the job are completed as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and team members to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Painter, with specific skills in dealing with damp and mould treatments.
  • Knowledge of various painting techniques and the ability to choose the right method for each job.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with residents and team members.
