Painter and Decorator

Pertemps are recruiting for a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to support a busy summer turnaround project at a residential building in central Bristol.

This is a short-term contract ideal for a reliable individual who can deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring rooms and communal areas are refreshed and ready for new students.

Location: BS1 - Central Bristol
Contract Dates: Temporary Assignment ( 4-8 weeks ) ASAP START - FRIDAY 4TH JULY
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08.30-17.00
Pay Rate: £15.77-£18.40 ( DOE ) per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and painting bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, and communal lounges
• Filling holes, sanding surfaces, and applying undercoats where necessary
• Touching up scuffed walls, woodwork, and damaged surfaces
• Repainting entire rooms as needed to a high standard
• Ensuring clean and tidy workspaces with proper protection of furnishings and flooring
• Working to tight deadlines and prioritising high-turnover rooms
• Liaising with the maintenance team to report or flag other repair needs
• Supporting general turnaround duties as required, such as minor maintenance or room checks

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in painting and decorating, preferably in residential or accommodation settings
• Good attention to detail with a commitment to quality finishes
• Comfortable working in occupied or recently vacated rooms
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset
