Park Ranger

Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting for a Park Ranger to work with the City of Edinburgh Council on a temporary basis.

Role - Park Ranger (Natural Heritage Sites)
Location - Hermitage of Braid
Hours - Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week (possible occasional weekend working)
Pay rate - £13.48 per hour
Duration - 3 months initially
Start date - as soon as possible

You will start and finish your date at Hermitage of Braid and will be out during the day visiting various Natural Heritage Sites across the city. This role will involve outdoor working.

A full driving licence is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will be carrying out, but not be limited to:

• Completing patrols of the Natural Heritage sites and carrying out security duties as required
• Completing documentation and logging files relating to site visits, incidents, accidents and other relevant issues
• Undertaking inspections and reporting any issues accordingly
• Carrying out improvement and repair works within parks and open spaces
• Removal of graffiti, litter, debris and obstructions
• Undertaking health and safety duties
• Reporting issues to management as required
• Installing, updating and maintaining information signage
• Carrying out any other tasks as required

You must have strong IT skills, experience of using a mobile device and of MS Office packages. You must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
