Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Pastoral Co-ordinator to join our vibrant secondary school in the heart of Barking and Dagenham . This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the personal, social, and emotional development of our students. This role is available for an immediate start and will run until 18th July, with the possibility of resuming in September 2025.

As a Pastoral Co-ordinator, you will:

• Support students' welfare, attendance, and behaviour across a designated year group.

• Work closely with students, families, and external agencies to provide early intervention and ongoing support.

• Promote a positive and inclusive school culture where every student feels safe, supported, and valued.

• Be part of a committed pastoral team that works collaboratively with teaching and leadership staff.

• Has experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or social care setting.

• Is emotionally resilient, compassionate, and an excellent communicator.

• Can build strong relationships with students, families, and staff.

• Understands safeguarding and child protection procedures.

• Is highly organised, proactive, and able to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.

• A supportive and inclusive school community.
