Pastoral Leader for September start

This lovely school is looking for a Pastoral Leader to join them in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for their students. They believe that their students deserve the opportunity to thrive both academically and emotionally.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Leader to join their team starting in the new academic year. This is an important role where you will be responsible for facilitating and providing tailored emotional support to students, helping them navigate their feelings, build resilience and develop coping strategies.

You will be the Team Leader for the Pastoral Team, supporting collegues and organising your pastoral support staff for those pupils who need emotional support. There will be some attendance monitoring and family liason involved for the pupils on your remit.

As Pastoral Leader, you will work closely with teachers, your pastoral team, parents and external professionals to create a supportive and safe environment for our students.

The right Pastoral Lead for this school will have:

• Experience supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
• Experience working in a Pastoral or Behaviour role in Secondary school
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Patience, empathy and genuine passion for supporting our children
