Pastoral Support Worker - Alternative Provision

Blackpool:
Salary: £100 - £130 per day
Contract: 8.30am - 3.10pm

About the Role:
Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a committed and compassionate Pastoral Support Worker to join a dynamic Alternative Provision setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by supporting students who may be facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.

You will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of pupils, working closely with families, carers, and school staff to remove barriers to learning and help pupils re-engage with education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day pastoral support to students, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Liaise with parents and carers to develop strong, supportive relationships that benefit the student's progress.
• Work closely with teaching staff and external agencies to develop and implement individual support plans.
• Assist with attendance monitoring, behaviour tracking, and reporting.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for students requiring emotional or behavioural support.

Requirements:

• Educated to NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with young people, ideally within an alternative provision, PRU, or SEN setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathetic, patient, and resilient approach to working with vulnerable students.
• Ability to build effective relationships with pupils, parents, and professionals.
