That's why this Sheffield-based business needs a safe pair of hands to cover their payroll while they recruit longer term. Someone who's been there, done it, and knows how to hit a deadline without the drama.

Here's what you need to know:

• £28,000 - £30,000 salary (pro rata)
• 3 to 6 month temp contract, with a chance it runs longer
• Office-based in Sheffield with free parking
• Monday to Friday, with a bit of flex on start and finish times

You'll join an experienced team that's well-organised, supportive, and happy to hand things over properly. Systems are modern, the process is tight, and the only thing missing is you.

What you'll be handling:

• Full end-to-end payroll for around 300 staff
• Starters, leavers, statutory payments, holidays and pensions
• RTI submissions and HMRC compliance
• Answering payroll queries and keeping records straight

If you've done this before and can walk in and get on with it, this payroll role will be right up your street. No micromanagement, no chaos - just a good team that needs someone reliable to keep payroll ticking over.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in a similar payroll position
• Confidence with payroll software and Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Calm under pressure, especially around month-end
