Job Description - Payroll Administrator

Payroll Administrator (12–18 Month Contract)
Surrey, Farnborough | Full-Time | 12–18 Month Fixed-Term Contract

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join a highly supportive and long-standing payroll team in Farnborough. This is a 12–18-month fixed-term role, offering the chance to be part of a period of positive change as we implement a new payroll system and time & attendance (T&A) solution.

About the Role
You’ll play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll for around 4,000 employees. The process is currently highly manual, but with the upcoming systems implementation, this role will evolve over the contract period. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and being part of a collaborative team during a time of transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for c.4,000 employees.
  • Handle payroll queries promptly and professionally.
  • Support the payroll team with audits, reconciliations, and compliance checks.
  • Contribute to the successful rollout of new payroll and T&A systems, including testing and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity throughout.

About You
  • Previous experience in payroll administration is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of data.
  • Comfortable working with manual processes, but keen to adapt to new systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A team player who thrives in a supportive and collaborative environment.
