Hours: Monday - Friday 37 hours per week

Salary: £23,826 - £28,251 dependent on experience (pro-rata)

Our client, a leading provider of HR and payroll services, is seeking a Payroll Advisor to join their team and deliver exceptional support across a broad portfolio of clients.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Payroll Advisor, you’ll be the primary contact for a designated group of clients. You’ll lead the delivery of efficient, accurate, and timely payroll and HR administrative services, providing expert advice on payroll legislation, pensions, and contractual matters.

Key duties include:

• Managing end-to-end payroll processes for multiple clients
• Acting as account manager for a portfolio of customers
• Providing first-line support on a wide range of payroll and HR issues
• Ensuring payroll compliance with HMRC, pension providers, and statutory bodies
• Supporting payroll reconciliations, reporting, and invoicing
• Contributing to system improvements and service delivery enhancements
• Coaching new and existing team members

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably within a multi-client or public sector environment
• Strong understanding of PAYE, pensions (LGPS, TPS, NHS), and employment law
• Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
• A proactive mindset, capable of identifying and driving process improvements
• Ability to interpret complex payroll data and legislation
• Experience working with payroll systems and BACS payments
