Job Description - Payroll Supervisor

Payroll Supervisor - Contractor
Location: Farnborough, Surrey
Salary: £45,000
Job Type: Full-time, 6-12 Month FTC
Hybrid Working: 1 office day, 4 days wfh

Are you an experienced payroll professional with strong leadership skills? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail? We are looking for a Payroll Supervisor to join our team, overseeing payroll operations and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the team in preparing weekly and monthly payrolls across multiple business units.
Oversee all aspects of payroll administration and processing.
Support the team in handling payroll queries from employees efficiently.
Ensure compliance with payroll timetables, policies, and procedures.
Train and mentor payroll staff to maintain a high level of team expertise.
Assist with data manipulation and upload of payroll input data from various business areas.
Be process-oriented and service-driven, working collaboratively within the team.
Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, confidently supporting payroll colleagues.
Demonstrate strong numerical skills, including the ability to perform manual calculations independently.
Think logically and work independently, delivering strong results.
Assist the Payroll Manager with daily tasks, audits, meetings, and team supervision.

Requirements:

Proven experience in payroll processing and supervision.
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience with payroll software and data processing.
