Job Description - Payroll Team Leader

Temporary Payroll and Finance Supervisor

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom

Search Consultancy are supporting a social enterprise organisation to recruit for a dedicated to providing exceptional payroll and financial services to our clients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Supervisor to join their finance team and to make an immediate impact. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate new customer referrals and allocate casework efficiently.
  • Support with queries and complaints.
  • Process payroll accurately, including RTI HMRC and Pension submissions.
  • Prepare and submit monthly payroll reports and payments.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor customer payroll balances to ensure accuracy.
  • Enrol new customers and prepare invoices.
  • Support bookkeeping and financial tasks, including annual audit preparations.
  • Improve customer on-boarding and off-boarding processes.
  • Respond to payroll service complaints and escalate if needed.
  • Prepare statistical information for KPIs.
  • Implement system improvements for payroll and finance.
  • Ensure integration of payroll and accounting transactions.
  • Assist with self-service payroll processes.
  • Participate in training and development activities.

This role will be paid on an hourly rate equivalent up to £28,000 depending on experience. This will be on-site working Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm (pm on Fridays) but after training will offer an option for hybrid, making this ideal for flexibility.
