Tradewind Recruitment - PE Teacher Opportunity at Independent School in Radlett, Hertfordshire

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a highly respected Independent Co-educational Prep School located in Radlett, Hertfordshire, to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic PE Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2025.

This is a superb opportunity for a passionate educator to join a thriving school community for at least 12 months teaching pupils in Years 3 to 8 (KS2 and KS3). The school is known for its commitment to academic rigour, character development, and a dynamic sporting culture.

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Location: Radlett, Hertfordshire

The Role:
The school is looking for a skilled PE teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across a wide range of sports and inspire pupils to achieve their best in both individual and team settings. You will be expected to:

  • Teach PE to pupils in KS2 and KS3
  • Lead and support a variety of sports, with particular emphasis on Football and Hockey in the Autumn Term, Rugby and Netball in Spring, and Cricket in Summer
  • Play an active role in school fixtures, tournaments, and co-curricular sports activities
  • Support the physical and emotional development of pupils through inclusive, high-quality teaching
  • Work collaboratively with staff to promote the school's sporting values

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in PE or a related field
  • Brings energy, creativity, and dedication to physical education
  • Has experience working with children in KS2 and KS3
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Enjoys working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team
  • Shows a genuine commitment to pupil development, both on and off the field
