Personal Advisor Officer

Leaving Care

Are you passionate about supporting young people as they transition to independent living? We are seeking a dedicated Leaving Care Personal Advisor to provide guidance, practical support, and advocacy to care-experienced individuals aged 18 and over.

Location: Wakefield
Hours: 37 per week

Job Type: Temp

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of young people leaving care
• Support and review individual Pathway Plans and Risk Assessments
• Assist with housing, budgeting, benefits, and life skills
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies and support services
• Provide consistent emotional and practical support, especially during crises

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
• Experience working with vulnerable young people
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and relevant legislation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Driving licence preferred due to the mobile nature of the role
