Personal Assistant

  • Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Personal Assistant to support the Head of Strategy & Pastoral Support and provide administrative assistance to the Heads of School at our Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment with limited structure. The successful candidate must be confident working independently, managing changing priorities, and using their initiative to bring clarity and organisation.

Day-to-day of the role:

Executive & Administrative Support

  • Support the production and refinement of documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Keep shared documents, folders, and databases up to date and well-organised.

Project & Operational Support

  • Assist with ongoing school-wide projects, supporting the implementation and coordination of strategic and pastoral initiatives.
  • Collate, organise, and analyse data to provide timely and accurate insights to support decision-making.

Marketing & Communication

  • Format and quality-check content (e.g., newsletters, bulletins, policy documents) for publication on the school website or internal platforms.
  • Support in the coordination and dissemination of key messages to parents, staff, and external partners.

Adaptability & Contribution

  • Work flexibly across teams, supporting various administrative and coordination tasks depending on need.
  • Identify gaps in processes and help shape clearer systems where possible.
  • Be ready to “roll up your sleeves” in a collaborative, start-up style team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or similar administrative role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong IT/Data admin/analysis skills.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an educational environment, particularly in SEN settings.
  • Project management skills.
