Pest Control Officer

Are you a skilled Pest Control Officer with a Level 2 Certificate in Pest Control? Do you want to make a real difference in public health and environmental safety? Greenwich Council is looking for a dedicated professional to join our team, tackling pest-related issues and ensuring a clean, safe community for residents and businesses.

• Inspect residential, commercial, and public properties for signs of pest infestations.
• Identify and implement the most effective pest control solutions in line with legislation and best practices.
• Carry out treatments for rodents, insects, and other public health pests safely and effectively.
• Provide expert advice to residents, businesses, and internal teams on pest prevention and control measures.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and actions taken.
• Ensure compliance with public health, environmental, and safety regulations.

• Qualified Professional: Must hold a Level 2 Certificate in Pest Control (BPCA/RSPH or equivalent).
• Experienced: Previous experience in pest control, ideally within a local authority or similar setting.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of pest species, control methods, and relevant legislation.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess situations and apply effective pest control strategies.
• Excellent Communicator: Confident in dealing with members of the public and businesses in a professional manner.
• Full UK Driving Licence: Essential for travelling to various locations within the borough.
