• Job Title: Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist

• Location: South London – NHS Hospital (Surgical & Medical Wards Only)

• Duration: Ongoing Locum Contract

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (5 days per week)

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: Ongoing (with potential extension)

• Rate of Pay: £32–£35 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join our team as a Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist and play a key role in supporting surgical and medical ward patients. In this role, you will:

• perform comprehensive clinical medication reviews

• optimise pharmacotherapy for complex surgical and medical inpatients

• deliver evidence-based pharmaceutical care to improve patient outcomes

• work closely with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, and the wider MDT

• ensure safe prescribing, supply, and administration of medicines

• maintain accurate, compliant patient records

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• a current and valid GPhC registration

• substantial experience in an NHS hospital, covering surgical and medical wards

• strong clinical knowledge and medicines optimisation skills

• excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday (9am–5pm). The contract is ongoing, with strong potential for extension depending on performance and service needs.
