Locum Pharmacy Assistant – NHS Hospital (Hertfordshire)

Hunter AHP are seeking a Locum Pharmacy Assistant to join a NHS Hospital Pharmacy team in Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced NHS pharmacy assistants and those from a community background looking to step into the hospital sector. Full NHS training will be provided for community applicants.

Role Details:

• Start: ASAP

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (no weekend work)

• Pay: £15–£16 per hour, paid weekly every Friday

• Duration: Ongoing locum contract

Key Duties:

• Supporting the dispensary team, primarily in taking in prescriptions

• Assisting with general pharmacy duties to ensure smooth workflow

• Working collaboratively within the hospital pharmacy environment

Requirements:

• Ideally, candidates will have NHS experience and hold an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services

• However, community pharmacy applicants are strongly encouraged to apply – full NHS training provided

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
