Perfect Household Staff is pleased to present an excellent temporary opportunity for a professional and dedicated domestic couple to join a prestigious private shooting estate at Cae-Y-Nant, Bettws Cedewain, near Newtown. This full-time, live-in position is ideal for a couple with proven experience working in a formal household setting who thrive in a collaborative environment. The shooting season runs from 1st September through to 1st February, providing a dynamic and rewarding role within a respected country estate surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside.

The estate is situated in a tranquil rural setting near Newtown, offering a peaceful lifestyle away from busy urban centres. The surrounding area is rich with natural beauty, including rolling hills and woodlands, perfect for countryside walks and outdoor pursuits. Due to the remote location, having a full driving licence is essential for ease of travel to local amenities. The local community is friendly and welcoming, and while public transport options are limited, the driving licence enables full access to nearby towns and services.

The principals are looking for someone discreet, trustworthy, and value staff who demonstrate a can-do attitude and genuine passion for their work. The household operates a formal dress code, and uniforms will be provided. The appointed couple will work alongside other team members across two shifts — 08:00 to 16:00 and 16:00 to 02:00 — six days per week, totalling approximately 48 hours. Flexibility, teamwork, and excellent communication are key to successfully managing the household’s demanding and varied needs throughout the shooting season.

The couple will be entitled to 10 days off during the Christmas and New Year period, providing a well-deserved break during this festive season. They will also receive training from the butler upon arrival to adhere to the estate’s standards.

Main duties of the Full-Time Domestic Couple:

• Maintaining a high standard of general housekeeping including laundry, ironing, bed-making, and meticulous cleaning to uphold the formal presentation of the estate
  


• Managing the changing and upkeep of beds and bedrooms, ensuring guest rooms are always prepared to the highest standard
  


• Supporting the kitchen team with clearing as required during busy periods, maintaining hygiene and efficiency
  


• Managing household supplies, and maintaining inventory to ensure the smooth running of daily operations
  


• Working effectively across two shifts, providing seamless handovers and strong teamwork with other household staff to cover all operational needs
  


• Adhering to the formal dress code with pride and maintaining the provided uniforms in excellent condition
  


• Assisting with occasional event preparation and guest entertaining as needed during the shooting season
  


• Demonstrating discretion, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times while maintaining a positive, proactive attitude
  


• Supporting the wider estate team as necessary to ensure the smooth running of estate operations throughout the shooting season
  

 Requirements for this Full-Time Domestic Couple job:

• Three or more years of private live-in couple experience
  


• Two excellent, checkable references
  


• Conversational level of English
  


• Legal right to work in the UK
  


• Full driving licence
