Day Rate: £450 per day (paid weekly)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Planning Manager to support the delivery of a high-profile Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) decarbonisation refit project in a live operational environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a critical infrastructure upgrade focused on sustainability and energy efficiency.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and managing project schedules, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
• Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, and construction teams
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and delays, and implement mitigation strategies
• Conduct critical path analysis and resource planning to ensure project milestones are met
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders
• Support the project team in managing works within a live environment, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience in a project planning or project controls role within M&E, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical piping and electrical cabling installation
• Experience working on energy centres, decarbonisation projects, or similar renewable energy retrofit projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, live site environment
