Plumber

Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Plumber to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate

You will

1. To undertake fault finding/diagnosis and/or problem solving on-site to determine the scope of works required with considerable demand for both speed and precision of the proposed remedial actions in accordance with policies.
2. To produce a quality and quantity of work commensurate with that of an experienced and competent Plumber with the ability to adapt and undertake a range of tasks outside of the initial core trade (as listed below) which will enable the task to be completed by a single visit wherever practicable.

• Patch plaster / artex / rendering
• Tiling
• Floor Tiling
• Worktops / units
• Excavations
• Painting
• Making good brickwork
• Minor carpentry works
• Guttering
• Minor electrical works

1. To provide reasonable estimates of time and materials (upon request) to complete tasks, orders or projects within strict timescales.
2. Plan and measure work carefully to minimise waste.
3. Interpret design plans, drawings, specifications and written instructions correctly.

To mentor and impart practical information, instruction and training to apprentices, and/or trainees as appropriate and in accordance with locally agreed guidelines
